How It Works:
The Qwick-AID® Multi-Use Hemostatic Bandage is an all-natural composite textile. Its patented technology has many effective hemostatic applications for animal wounds of all sizes. The bandage stops vascular and capillary bleeding in seconds. The unique, specially formulated first layer assures good hemostatic effect while the second layer evacuates discharge from the wound. Qwick-AID® Bandages will not stick to a wound, will not create a hothouse effect, and only require re-moisturization with water to be an effective dressing for up to 3 days.
Used By World Famous Zoos:
Qwick-AID® Bandages have been used in trauma and surgical procedures in a major zoo medical center in treating Asian elephants, zebras, and giant tortoises. They have reported a great time and cost savings vs. the foams, gauze and wrappings currently in use. When the San Diego Zoo received donated elephants from the circus their feet were in need of repair due to the restraining chains, Qwick-AID® was the bandage of choice for the immediate surgery.
